Having sold out their debut EP, won over Dave Grohl and started a mini riot in south Wales, Linchpin return with their debut 6 track mini album …Small Town Theory.

Hawking their EP on the road in late 2005 Linchpin were overwhelmed with the response the from the fans. “We waited forever for linchpin to come to Glasgow, we got what we waited for!”.

2006 has seen the band devoted to growing their live reputation, evolving their online community and pouring their hearts out on to tape in North London’s Sleeper Studios, working with producers Paul Stanborough and Richard Flack (Queens of the Stone Age, Joe Strummer).

Linchpin bass man Mike Cass explains that “the album is all about us as a band facing our critics and getting the f*** out of Kent!”. Key tracks on Small Town Theory include Can’t Explain, a surprisingly upbeat song about losing a friend and Hypochondriac: “We used to moan about being bored and not having a point to life, so we started a band. That’s what this song is about” says Linchpin front man Joey Cass.

Small Town Theory is due for release by Sleeper Recordings in September 2006 preceded by the single Can’t Explain.
